OK, you will have to read this one to believe it. Seems that these rabbits don’t like snakes very much, or enjoy the way they taste–one or the other!!

Ya just gotta love it…check out her awesome site and buy some T-shirts. Mr. Peeps surely approves.

Next, we met a couple of buns at PetCo–a fixed male and a female rescued from a horrible owner. Turns out this ‘fixed’ male had, uh, his goodies still intact, and the female appeared to be pregnant. So now we have these two buns at the menagerie, and may be heading toward the miracle of bunny birth, we’ll see!! The male we named Bowie because of his two different colored eyes, and we just call the female Baby Mama for now… Here they are!!

I'm a helicopter!

Meet Willa, the newest addition to the Lutz menagerie! Willa is an awesome bun who loves to push her sweet nose into you for close snuggles. She loves to play, will run up to you when you join her in the pen, and is extremely gentle. She is a large bun–at about 7 pounds–but she is very active and loves to check out all that is going on around her. Won’t you please consider adopting this lovely little girl? She came all the way from Gainesville to find her forever home–don’t you want to be the luck ones to get her??

Well, thanks to the great work of Officer Merritt, Mama’s back on Crescent Lake! This is a great end to the story, although it seems poor Squiggy will never return…You can read more about this here and here.

Ha! You couldn’t resist me!

Well, we just couldn’t resist this darling little bun and had to add her to the ever-growing Menagerie! Pretty little Lola now joins fellow bunnies Tumbles, Emmylou and Molly Malone in the Bunny Complex. Sorry everybody, you missed out on an awesome little girl!! But stay tuned, we have lots of other sweet pets to adopt–just check out their pages and stories!!

I honestly can’t believe this story. This stupid young woman drowns two rabbits in a Petland store—-photographed BY HER BOSS—–and smiles brightly and posts the picture on her Facebook page. Un–be–lievable. So, do we really need any more evidence that Petland is a horrible business that should be banned by anyone with a heart and a brain? Sure, they did close this store, but they just moved all their animals to another Petland location. The same Petland who is continually charged with supporting puppy mills etc. Arrrrgh! So, Liz Carlisle, how do you sleep at night??

Where's my Squiggy, you jerk?

This story from the St. Pete Times is a must read, folks.  Seems some punk from Palmetto County has been stealing geese and ducks from Crescent Lake and other communities, and selling them to Asian restaurants. Now, this raises a couple of questions for me:

1) Why was this little jerk acquitted in the first place? and

2) Why should we ever eat in Asian restaurants that serve duck, knowing that this type of practice is common?

So, next time you go into an Asian restaurant, ask to see the manager or the owner if duck is on the menu. Ask him or her what their policy is, and, if they are cagey at all–ban the place and tell all your friends and family. This type of stuff is simply unacceptable.

I hope this goose-napping clown gets what he deserves; because if he can do this to animals, it won’t be long until he does it to human beings. 

UPDATE!!  Turns out—-big shocker here—-that Austin Corely also has an arrest for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. So, again I ask, why does this jerk keep getting acquitted? Anyone who lives near 27th Ct E. in Parrish Florida should ask him that…

C’mon, everyone, tell those Asian and other stores, markets and restaurants what you think of killing neighborhood animals for food. And if you see this idiot:

Not only tell him what you think of him, but also ask him why he needs to dress like a Romulan. Doofus. Oh, and this is an actual quote from Corely: “They’re nobody’s ducks,” he says. “It’s not goosenapping.”

Man, I love stories like this!! I wish I could paste some of the photos here for you to see, but you will have to visit the newspaper’s link to check out the pics. The best one is the momma duck looking down into the drain to check on her poor babies. But the one where she is yelling at the Firefighter who just saved her clutch as he is holding her baby is pretty hilarious too. Check it all out here…

I am also thrilled that such lengths were taken to rescue Muscovies. Too many people out there seem to see them as nuisance animals and would not lift a hand to help them. But kudos to the boca Raton Firefighters — Awesome Show, Great Job!!
